Terror Strikes Tourists in Kashmir: Are Hindus Safe in Their Own Land?

A peaceful day in Kashmir turned into a nightmare when gunmen opened fire on a group of Indian tourists visiting the Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam. The area is known for its beauty, with snow-covered mountains and pine forests, and attracts hundreds of visitors every day.

Police say the attackers were militants who are fighting against India’s rule in Kashmir. Several tourists were injured in the shooting, and officials are moving them to hospitals. Security forces have sealed off the area and are searching for the attackers.

This attack has once again raised serious concerns about safety in Kashmir. The region has been a conflict zone since 1989, with militants wanting either independence or to join Pakistan. India believes these attacks are supported by Pakistan, though Pakistan denies this.

But how long can this go on?

  • How many more lives must be lost before real action is taken?
  • Why are innocent Hindu tourists being targeted?
  • Why must Hindus live in fear just for visiting a part of their own country?

It’s not just the gunmen who are guilty. Those who fund them, train them, give them weapons, or support them in any way are also responsible. These terrorists clearly do not fear the Indian government or army. That needs to change.

This attack is not just a tragedy. It’s a wake-up call. Strong and serious action is needed—not just against the attackers but against everyone who helps them. Peace will never be possible while innocent people are being killed and those responsible walk free.
